Super Spicy Beef Kaldereta

Kaldereta is a dish popular in the Philippines, especially in Luzon island. Its common ingredients are cuts of pork, beef or goat with tomato paste or tomato sauce with liver spread added to it. In Metro Manila it is more commonly added with potatoes but in other regions such as Southern Tagalog provinces, it is simply the sauce and the cuts of meat that are used. There are other meats that can also be used such as chicken but pork, beef and goat are the three more popular cuts of meat used. – Wikipedia

I used my friend Pocholo’s recipe, he usually brings food to office and damn he is really a good cook, he brought beef kaldereta twice as I remember and I liked it, no.. scratch that… I loved it… and it had been couple of weeks already that I’m pestering him to teach me to cook, so there, he told me his secrets…

I didn’t used liver spread as it’s also not in his recipe and they don’t sell it here, I think it’s not allowed as Muslim religion is dominant here in Singapore… Can you believe I found a beef bacon with halal sign here? hahaha, amazing!

It turned out to taste good but a bit more spicy than it should be, but that can be excused as I am just starting to learn to cook, and I think I am getting better at it… last week I cooked Beef Sinigang and it taste good, well at least for me :-D
