Twenty eight years of existence

My housemates are so sweet!

I’m totally oblivious of this horoscope change, I heard I’ll be Sagittarius now, oh well I could care less.  I had a blast, we had a girls night out to celebrate my birthday and it was so much fun.  I’m so happy I’m having group of girl friends now!  Went home around 6AM and still wide awake and I don’t know why I couldn’t sleep yet.

2010 had passed so fast, like really fast!

The mid and latter part of the year was kinda interesting but the rest was just all work, facebook, chat and pigging out at home.

Best parts of 2010
- Getting my annulment case started
- Having Maisie here and getting her to love the place.
- You happened, you know who you are.
- Made new friends and met wonderful people

Spent the eve with my cousins and 3 of his friends, just a simple dinner at a cruise, it was nice although I didn’t enjoy the 1st hour of the trip because of motion sickness, but it was fun to spend it with relatives and not a work.

I wonder what’s 2011 have in store for me, the year started with a sore throat and a fever I hope I won’t be sick all year long.

I wanted to write a long post to start a year but I really don’t feel like writing anything and my find is kinda really floating since I woke up with fever and a sore throat… what a bummer!

One thing is for sure this year… I will do things for me and not for others and I will try to live a life and stop locking myself in my room… I wish!

Merry Christmas…

My Christmas this year was more merrier than last year because last year I spent Christmas Eve at work and just bought cake for the whole team to share.  It was kinda sad because I felt so homesick last year.  James one of my closest Aussie cousin was there, we were able to hangout for one night last year though because he had a connecting flight from Sydney to Singapore then Manila. Then it was my first Christmas that I am not with my little girl. I lived too far and alone with no friends but my landlord and his family celebrated Christmas, as his wife is Indian Christian, I recently got an SMS from him and he invited me to visit so I will have dinner with them on 29th, I haven’t really visited them since I left their home last March.  They were really nice people with wonderful kids.

This time I had fun.  I was supposed to spend the eve with Pocholo at his place but I found out that 3 of my mates will be alone on Christmas Eve as well so I invited them to celebrate it at my place since I am home alone.  We had a nice dinner and drinks afterward, four boys and me, the other one invited one of his friends who was also home alone.  Rommel prepared the dinner and it was yummy, I think he’s a better cook than Pocholo.  We just chilled at home with Tequila and Jack Daniel’s (everyone’s best friend), non-stop conversation and laughter from 9PM to 4AM, I actually went to bed early because I was having asthma attack,  I really don’t know what time they slept, I just woke up around 9AM today with the smell of Rommel’s cooking, he was preparing the breakfast.  The conversation was so good we didn’t even bother to take much photos, as always we ended up talking about work, Solaris, Veritas, Linux and everyone’s bloopers at work.

Hari Raya Puasa

Today is Public Holiday here in Singapore. The holiday is to celebrate the Muslim and Malay Hari Raya Aidilfitri Holiday or literally “Celebration Day of Fasting”.

I was on my way home and I saw a lot of Men at the MRT wearing this outfit that you will see distinctively with Muslim Men.  There’s  near Mosque at our place and on my way I saw a lot of Muslims sitting and standing outside the Mosque, mostly the Women are sitting inside a tent and Men are standing outside and in the surrounds of the Mosque and heard some I guess praise songs. This was the first time I’ve really seen how they celebrate it. I’ve known it as Eid al-Fitr as my father and mother used to work at Saudi and in my home country they also call it Eid al-Fitr and I’m pretty sure it’s also Public Holiday there as well.

Here’s a photo this morning from the Mosque near our place.
